Instructions

  • Clean and wash the chicken, then cut it into small, bite-sized pieces.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan. Add half the curry leaves and dry red chillies. Sauté until aromatic.
  • Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, and ginger garlic paste. Stir for a few minutes.
  • Add the chicken and ¼ cup water. Cover the pan and cook for 30 minutes on low flame.
  • Add shredded coconut and stir well. Cook for another minute.
  • Finish with the remaining curry leaves and serve with rice or chapati.

Notes

  1. Deseeding the dry red chillies reduces their heat while retaining flavor.
  1. Add extra chilli powder if you prefer a spicier version.
